Bottomline...... Undeniably they are one of the few acts who have made a mark in the new millenia. All their recent albums have achieved great commercial success. Comparisons have been made to big acts such as U2 and Travis as early as their debut album. People may say "rock is dead" for the 00's but no, their are still a few bands who can snag albums that catch the world's attention and one of them yes, is Coldplay. British acts nowadays have a hard time hitting the US market nowadays in the 00's but coldplay have done so and along with breaking a few world records. Im only wandering in all the millions and millions of coldplay fans in every nook and corner of the world. what do you really think of every coldplay album? which is better? You may rate an album based on your opinions example : parachutes: 9/10 etc..... These are my opinions and impressions but i wont rate yet. (9.6 million+ so far) (20000)Parachutes- a sincere magical album that can pull anyones heartstrings. (14.100 mill + so far) (2003)AROBTTH - a classic album that rocketed coldplay to critical success and worldwide popularity and their most succesful so far. (13.227 mill so far+) (2005)X&Y - the very commercial album( #1 in 32 countries) critics prasied it when it came out and got a rare 5/5 from some critic (i forgot) (4.8 mill so far) (2008)Viva la vida - The happy album(debuts #1 in 36 countries) another commercial album making coldplay more famous and worldwide especially on the single viva la vida creating huge impact on the US to become a runner up... to the beatles to be the most sold brit single of all time in the u.s.so far. .
